1. Assist Director General of Bangladesh Railway in performing official and administrative works.
2. Responsible for overall management of DG, Bangladesh Railway office & supervision of day to day works of the staffs of DG office.
3. Co-ordinate and Co-operate with attached offices under DG, Bangladesh Railway.
4. Co-ordinate and Co-operate with other govt. offices and departments.
5. Perform various works related with protocol.
6. Any other works to be assigned by DG, Bangladesh Railway.
