1. To work as administrative head of the Electrical Engineering Department and works under the direct control of General Manager.
2. To formulate policy on all technical and other matters pertaining to Electrical Department.
3. To ensure Electrical maintenance of Electrical Portion of Rolling Stocks Pertaining to Electrical Department in working order.
4. To ensure maintenance of Electrical Sub-station, overhead line, Pumps, electrical installation of Service & residential building.
5. To prepare Revenue & Development budget for Electrical Department and to exercise control over it.
6. To prepare project proforma for all new Projects.
7. To sort out all matters relating to stores.
8. To certify condemnation of all Electrical Equipments & Plants.
9. To approve design for alterations modification and conversions.
10. To do any other work assigned by General Manager.
