1. To remain responsible to General Manager for ensuring security of Railway properties including cash security.
2. To formulate the policy of controlling the crime over the system of Bangladesh Railway.
3. To ensure safe custody of the Railway materials and public goods under the custody of Railway.
4. To arrest leakage of Railway Revenue.
5. To adopt uniform policy to maintain discipline and administration over Railway Nirrapatta Bahini.
6. To see that each and every Railway Nirrapatta Bahini personnel are properly trained.
